Her Story

I was born in Kansas City, but grew up in the plains of Eastern Colorado. The plains were very plain... the tumbleweed was our class flower. Just kidding. My tiny, rural hometown stifled my cosmopolitan thinking, so I moved to Colorado Springs after high school. To my surprise, I soon discovered that right-wing radicals weren't just in the country. So, g'bye beautiful landscape and inspiring mountains - my eternal compass. I was off to the big city, in search of culture and diversity. (Yeah, I'm talking about KC. Why?)

After the long journey from Interior Designer to Architect to Artist to Graphic Designer, I stumbled into the Computer Science department. Momma, I found my way home! I'm now a software engineer at Cerner Corporation, the world’s leading supplier of healthcare information technology. Yes, I'm a programmer... and I love it!

Heath is also a software engineer so we can speak nerd over dinner. (No, we didn't meet at work - we met in the ocean, dammit!) When we're not working on our websites, we're probably at the movies. I also spend too much time on my photograph collection and my aquarium. I enjoy board games and dreaming about a European vacation. I swerve for birds and fall down a lot. I was devastated when "Friends" ended. I think you get the gist.

[Note: This was written before we had our beautiful twin girls, which pretty much negates all extra-curricular aspects of my personality for lack of time. I have no free time. But I wouldn't change a thing. :)]
